Our People

Ben Nicol

Ben has been in Estate Agency since the 1990's, and having started at Robert Stanford as a Junior Negotiator worked his way up to office manager in the early noughties. The opportunity to buy the firm from the previous principals came in 2006, and Ben has now been Company Director for 5 years. A member of the National Association of Estate Agents, his leadership has seen the company develop its quality of Service, a large management portfolio and a progressive and continued pursuit to engrain Robert Stanford within the community.

Having been bought up in Sydenham and educated in Dulwich; Ben really is the local boy who has grown with the area and done his best.

Malcolm Goes

Malcolm has been at Robert Stanford since 2004, previously having worked through a number of offices across South London, as well as a stint running his own company in Surrey Quays. His ability to deal with clients in a very personable manner has earned him a reputation amongst his clients which has led over the years to continued support and recommendations. Having experience across both Sales & Lettings and a consumate understanding for 'Fairness' Malcolm has always managed to find the middle ground in all his negotiations.

Malcolm was bought up in East Dulwich and educated in Forest Hill and Peckham. He studied at University and got a degree in Business Studies.

Wendy Fitzgerald

After years of supporting and raising a family, Wendy started as a Saturday girl for the respected South London Estate Agents Andrews & Robertson in their East Dulwich office. She then moved to Scotchbrooks Estate Agents in Forest Hill in about 2003 for a more permanent roll. Five years later the closure of Scotchbrooks during the 'Credit Crunch' gave Robert Stanford Estates the opportunity to employ one of Forest Hill's best negotiators.

Wendy brings her bright and bubbly personality to Robert Stanford and her years of experience and understanding of the importance of family make her a magnet for families in Forest Hill, Sydenham and Honor Oak who are looking for an understanding and personal approach to the sale of their family home.

Alex Gilbert

Alex is our youngest member of staff, but has worked with the company since leaving school in 2009. His energy and competitve focus makes him an ideal Lettings Negotatior for the company. Always ready to pick up keys and take potential clients out on viewings; he's a great one for all the office to call on to get something done quickly. Alex's long term designs are to learn enough about the property business to build his own portfolio and become a property developer.

Alex was bought up in Lewisham and still lives in Catford.

Sophie Payne

Sophie has been in Estate Agency for over 10 years, having been through a number of administrative roles, she currently heads up our management portfolio. In a very difficult job, in which people only contact her to tell her things aren't working, Sophie always deals with things promptly and handles people as she would like to be dealt with herself. Having an investment property of her own she understands the skills required to create and maintain a smooth tenancy.

Sophie lives with her family and children in Forest Hill, her eldest goes to school locally and the little one is at a local nursery.
